27 जून 2026 को DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) ने IndiGo के A320 aircraft से Udaipur Airport पर India का पहला GAGAN-based satellite navigation landing approach कराया — यह jet aircraft पर पहली बार हुआ। इससे पहले GAGAN केवल smaller turboprop aircraft पर test किया गया था। GAGAN (GPS Aided GEO Augmented Navigation) ISRO और AAI (Airports Authority of India) द्वारा jointly developed India का satellite-based augmentation system (SBAS) है। India Asia-Pacific में पहला देश है जिसके पास operational SBAS है। May 2026 तक AAI ने 23 LPV approach procedures publish किए हैं — 2026 के अंत तक 40+ का target है।
