PM नरेंद्र मोदी ने 4 जुलाई 2026 को Gujarat के Sanand में CG Semi Pvt. Ltd. के OSAT (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test) facility का उद्घाटन किया। CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited की यह subsidiary ₹7,600 करोड़ के investment से बनी है। यह Japan की Renesas Electronics और Thailand की Stars Microelectronics के साथ joint venture है। प्रारंभ में यह annually 20 crore chip units produce करेगा — भविष्य में target 500 crore units है। Micron Technology (ATMP, Feb 2026) और Kaynes Semicon (March 2026) के बाद यह Sanand का तीसरा semiconductor plant है। दोनों OSAT plants मिलकर 1.5 crore chips/day produce करेंगे। PM Modi ने कहा — 'India Semiconductor Mission 2.0 इस दशक का सबसे बड़ा technological turning point बनेगा।'
