Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), a Miniratna Category-I Defence PSU under the Ministry of Defence, released Advertisement No. BDL/0183/04/GRADUATE & DIPLOMA (dated 22 July 2026) inviting applications for Apprenticeship Training under the Apprentices Act 1961 at its Kanchanbagh Unit, Hyderabad. A total of 147 posts are on offer: 122 Graduate Apprentice and 25 Diploma Apprentice. CORRECTION: Applications go through the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal at nats.education.gov.in/regular_student.php -- NOT apprenticeshipindia.gov.in (which is the NAPS portal for ITI trade apprentices, a different scheme) and not directly via bdl-india.in. After NATS registration, candidates must additionally email their resume/CV along with their Enrollment ID to hrkbu-app@bdl-india.in -- both steps are required. Online registration is open from 22 July 2026 to 6 August 2026. IMPORTANT CORRECTION: One directly-checked source states the age limit is 'Not specified in the official notification' -- this contradicts a commonly circulated claim of '14-25 years,' which could not be verified against any source reviewed and appears to be inaccurate, possibly borrowed from an unrelated ITI/trade apprentice scheme. Candidates should not assume any specific age cut-off applies; confirm directly with BDL if in doubt. Eligibility: candidates must have passed B.E./B.Tech (for Graduate Apprentice) or a Diploma (for Diploma Apprentice) in the relevant engineering discipline in 2022 or later -- earlier graduates are not eligible under this notification. Trades covered include Civil, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical, Computer Science/IT Engineering, and DCCP (Diploma in Computers & Commercial Practice). There is no application fee. Stipend is Rs 12,300/month for Graduate Apprentices and Rs 10,900/month for Diploma Apprentices, paid 50% by BDL and 50% by the Board of Apprenticeship Training via DBT. Selection is purely on merit of academic qualifications, followed by verification of original certificates (educational, community, PwBD as applicable) -- there is no written exam. Reservations for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD/CAP apply as per the Apprentices Act 1961.
