This total comprises 1,76,361 male and 4,782 female candidates. Eligibility Criteria
Male Physical Standards Baseline
Height requirement: 165 cm (relaxable for tribal states). Chest expansion range: 75 cm unexpanded to 80 cm fully expanded.
Female Physical Standards Baseline
Height requirement: 155 cm baseline minimum. Chest expansion rules do not apply.
Physical Efficiency Benchmarks
Male Candidates: 5 km run to be completed within 24 minutes. Female Candidates: 1.6 km run to be completed within 8 minutes and 30 seconds.
Educational Qualification
- Basic Schooling: Must have passed Matriculation (Class 10) or its equivalent from a recognized board.
- Technical Stream Requirements (Trade-specific):
- Possession of a relevant 2-year ITI Trade Certificate, OR a 1-year ITI Certificate coupled with at least 1 year of active trade experience.
- For specific modern hospitality trades (like Cook, Water Carrier, Butcher), a valid National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) Level-1 Course Certificate in food production or kitchen operations is mandatory.
Age Limit
General Category: 18–25 years
- OBC Category: Upper limit relaxation up to 3 years.
- SC / ST Category: Upper limit relaxation up to 5 years.
- Relaxation criteria for Ex-Servicemen and other specialized classes run parallel to standard Ministry of Home Affairs structural guidelines.
