Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Department of Space, released Advertisement No. ISRO:ICRB:01(A-JPA):2026 (dated 27 July 2026) for 242 vacancies of Assistant, Upper Division Clerk (UDC), Junior Personal Assistant (JPA), and Stenographer, conducted through ISRO's Centralised Recruitment Board (ICRB). Posts are spread across 8 ISRO centres: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Hassan, Hyderabad, Mahendragiri, New Delhi, Sriharikota, and Thiruvananthapuram. Online applications open on 27 July 2026 and close on 16 August 2026, via isro.gov.in. IMPORTANT CORRECTION: Eligibility is NOT uniformly 'Graduation with 60%' across all posts -- it differs meaningfully by post. Assistant/UDC (Post Nos. 1 & 5) require Graduation with minimum 60% marks (or CGPA 6.32/10) completed within the minimum stipulated course duration, PLUS computer proficiency AND 1 year of work experience -- this experience requirement is easy to miss. JPA/Stenographer (Post Nos. 2, 4 & 6) require Graduation with 60% (or CGPA 6.32/10) OR a Diploma in Commercial/Secretarial Practice with 60%, PLUS 60 words-per-minute English shorthand speed -- candidates holding a Diploma in Commercial Practice (DCP) or Diploma in Commercial-cum-Secretarial Practice (DCCP) with NATS/BOAT apprenticeship are deemed to already have the 1-year steno experience requirement. Age limit is 18-28 years, calculated as on the closing date, 16 August 2026. Application fee is Rs 500 (General/OBC/EWS), of which Rs 400 is refunded after appearing in the written test; SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates get a full refund after appearing. Salary is Level-4 of the Pay Matrix, with a minimum basic pay of Rs 25,500/month plus Central Government allowances. Selection is via a Written Test covering General Knowledge, English Language, Reasoning Ability, and domain-specific knowledge relevant to the post, followed by Document Verification -- there is NO interview for these posts. Candidates must score the minimum qualifying marks in the written test to be considered.
