The National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) has released Hiring Notice No. 07/2026 (F.No.269282/2163, dated 6 July 2026) for 100 Associate posts under the State Specific Graduate Scheme (SSGS), spread across 14 States/UTs where NHIDCL operates — Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, J&K (Jammu and Srinagar), Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, Uttarakhand, Ladakh, West Bengal, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Applications are open now through the NHIDCL Resource Pool Portal, from 8 July 2026 (10:00 AM) to 5 August 2026 (5:00 PM). Important: this is NOT a regular government job. The Associate engagement is purely contractual — Associates hold the legal status of an independent consultant and are not regarded as staff, officials, or employees of NHIDCL. The tenure is a fixed 2 years, extendable by 1 year at a time up to a maximum of 3 years, subject to review by a Consultants' Review Committee (CRC). Candidates need Graduation in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) from IITs, NITs, or institutions ranked in the top 100 of the NIRF Engineering Rankings, with 0-2 years of experience. The upper age limit is 30 years as on the date of the Hiring Notice (6 July 2026). Selected Associates will draw a monthly consultancy fee of Rs 70,000 to Rs 80,000 (inclusive of taxes), with a 5% annual enhancement and an additional 20% location allowance for those posted in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. There is no application fee. Candidates can only apply for the State/UT of their domicile — cross-state applications are not permitted, except for Andaman & Nicobar Islands vacancies, which are open to other-state candidates too (with domicile candidates preferred).
