TSLPRB Telangana Police Recruitment 2026 — 7,437 Posts for Constable, SI & More
The Government of Telangana has accorded permission to the Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board (TSLPRB) to fill a total of 7,437 posts across the Police Department, Fire Disaster Response Emergency & Civil Defence Department, Prisons & Correctional Services Department, and the Special Protection Force (SPF). This permission was granted through separate Government Orders (GO Ms No. 78, 80, 83, 84) issued between 27 June and 3 July 2026, and confirmed via a press note (Rc No. 189/Rect./Rect-1/2026) dated 5 July 2026. With nearly 14,553 police personnel having retired over the last two years, this is being called one of Telangana's biggest-ever police recruitment drives. The largest chunks are Police Constable (Civil) with 3,697 posts and Police Constable (AR) with 1,052 posts. This is followed by Fire Fighter (751), SPF Constable (1,380), Warder posts (208 combined), and roughly 244 officer-level posts across SI/RSI/ASI cadres. Important: this is currently only a government-permission press note — the full detailed recruitment notification (with age limit, qualification, application dates and exam schedule) has NOT been released yet. TSLPRB has stated that once local cadre-wise distribution, roster points, and qualification details are received from the Home Department, separate department-wise notifications will follow, expected in July–August 2026.
