About This Notification
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the NDA & NA Examination (II) 2026 notification on 20th May 2026 for 394 vacancies across Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy.
This is one of the most prestigious defence recruitment examinations in India. Candidates who have passed 12th standard or are appearing in Class 12 are eligible to apply. The selected candidates join NDA Khadakwasla (Pune) and INA Ezhimala (Kerala) for a 3-year training programme.

Day 1 Screening — OIR Test + PPDT Story writing
Step 1: Check Age & Eligibility
Confirm you were born between 2nd July 2007 and 1st July 2010. For Navy/Air Force, you need PCM in 12th.
Step 2: Apply on UPSC Portal
Register and fill application form at upsconline.nic.in. Upload photo and pay fee.
Step 3: Prepare for Written Exam
Focus on Mathematics (NCERT Class 10–12 level) and GAT (English, GK, Physics, Chemistry, General Science). Written exam is on 13 Sep 2026.
Step 4: SSB Interview Preparation
If you clear written exam, you'll be called for 5-day SSB Interview. Prepare OIR, PPDT, Psychology Tests, GTO tasks, and Personal Interview.
Step 5: Medical Examination
Candidates recommended by SSB undergo detailed medical examination. Vision, physical fitness, and other standards apply.
