Food Corporation of India (FCI) is a statutory body set up under the Food Corporations Act 1964. It is under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution. FCI operates for the strategic purpose of maintaining buffer stocks of food grains, procurement of food grains at MSP, distribution of food grains through the Public Distribution System (PDS), and stabilising prices. FCI recruits for various posts including Management Trainees (MT), Assistant Grade-II, Junior Engineer (JE), Watchman, and Technical Grade posts.
