RRB ALP Recruitment 2026 — Indian Railways की सबसे बड़ी और सबसे प्रतिष्ठित भर्तियों में से एक है। Railway Recruitment Board ने CEN No. 01/2026 के तहत देश के 21 Railway Zones में 11,127 Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) posts के लिए notification जारी किया है।
यह 2025 cycle (9,970 posts) से 11.6% ज़्यादा vacancies हैं — जो इसे Railway का इस साल का सबसे बड़ा recruitment बनाता है। Apply window अभी live है — last date 14 June 2026।
2026 cycle में क्या नया है:
- CBT-1 से General Awareness हटाया गया — अब केवल Mathematics, Mental Ability और General Science। GK की पढ़ाई CBT-1 के लिए ज़रूरी नहीं।
- CBAT का weightage बढ़ा — Final merit में CBT-2 Part A: 50% + CBAT: 50%। पहले CBAT सिर्फ 30% था। CBAT अब उतना ही important है जितना written exam।
- Live photo capture — Application में पुरानी photo नहीं चलेगी। Webcam या phone से live photo लेनी होगी।
- Aadhaar या DigiLocker से identity verification।

Educational Qualification
10वीं पास + ITI (NCVT/SCVT) in relevant trade, OR 10th + Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Automobile), OR 10th + B.E./B.Tech in relevant stream। Final year students apply नहीं कर सकते।
Medical Standards
Standard A-1 — Railway की सबसे strict medical category। Near vision: Sn 0.6 both eyes (with/without glasses), Distant vision: 6/6 one eye, 6/9 other. Color vision: CP-2. LASIK surgery disqualifies. Normal hearing। No flat foot, color blindness.
CBAT — Aptitude Requirement
Computer Based Aptitude Test में हर battery में T-score ≥42 अनिवार्य। CBAT qualify न करने पर selection नहीं होगा चाहे written exam में कितने भी marks हों। 2026 में CBAT का weightage 30% से बढ़कर 50% हो गया है।
RRB Zone Selection
एक candidate केवल एक RRB में apply कर सकता है। Mobile number, email ID और chosen RRB — application submit होने के बाद नहीं बदल सकते। अपने नज़दीकी zone का चुनाव सोच-समझकर करें।

- Alternate Qualification — Diploma: 10वीं + Diploma in Engineering (Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Automobile) from AICTE recognized institution।
- Alternate Qualification — Degree: 10वीं + B.E./B.Tech in relevant engineering stream from a recognized university।
- Apprenticeship: 10वीं + Course Completed Act Apprenticeship (CCAA) in relevant trade।

Step 2: rrbapply.gov.in पर Account बनाएं
rrbapply.gov.in पर 'Register' करें। अपना valid mobile number और email ID दें। Login credentials मिलने के बाद candidate dashboard में जाएं और CEN 01/2026 application खोलें।
Step 3: Live Photo लें (2026 का नया rule)
इस बार पुरानी photo upload नहीं होगी। Application के दौरान webcam या phone front camera से live photo capture होगी। Plain light background रखें, dark या non-white कपड़े पहनें। Cap, mask या चश्मा नहीं होना चाहिए।
Step 4: Application Form भरें
Personal details (नाम, DOB, category — बिल्कुल 10वीं certificate के अनुसार), educational qualification (10th + ITI/Diploma/Degree), trade selection, और RRB zone carefully भरें। Medical Self-Declaration form भी fill करना होगा — LASIK status, vision, hearing clearly declare करें।
Step 5: Application Fee जमा करें
Fee pay करें: ₹500 (General/OBC/EWS) या ₹250 (SC/ST/Female/Ex-SM/Transgender/Minority/EBC)। Payment modes: Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI, या E-Challan। Fee payment की last date 16 June 2026 है।
Step 6: Submit करें और Confirmation Save करें
Final application submit करें और confirmation page download करके print करें। Application number और Registration ID safely नोट करें। 17–26 June तक modification window है (₹250 per change) — अगर कोई correction करनी हो।
Step 7: तैयारी अभी से शुरू करें

CBAT — Computer Based Aptitude Test (Final Merit का 50%):
- 5 psychometric test batteries: Memory Test, Following Directions, Concentration Test, Perceptual Speed, Spatial Scanning
- T-score ≥42 in each battery mandatory to qualify
- No negative marking — attempt सभी questions
Zone चुनाव की रणनीति — MP, Rajasthan, UP, Bihar candidates पढ़ें
RRB ALP में एक बार zone choose करने के बाद बदला नहीं जा सकता — इसलिए यह decision बहुत सोच-समझकर करें।
MP के candidates के लिए:
- RRB Bhopal (WCR): 423 posts — Bhopal, Jabalpur, Kota divisions। MP के ज़्यादातर candidates के लिए best choice।
- RRB Bilaspur (CR/SECR): 522 combined posts — Chhattisgarh और East MP के लिए।
Rajasthan के candidates के लिए:
- RRB Ajmer (NWR): 600 posts — Rajasthan का primary zone। Jaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Ajmer divisions।
- RRB Ajmer (WCR): 118 additional posts — Kota region।
UP के candidates के लिए:
- RRB Prayagraj (NCR): 457 posts — Prayagraj, Agra, Jhansi।
- RRB Prayagraj (NR): 153 posts — Delhi, Lucknow division area।
- RRB Gorakhpur (NER): 105 posts — Eastern UP।
Bihar के candidates के लिए:
- RRB Patna (ECR): 103 posts। RRB Muzaffarpur (ECR): 42 posts। RRB Ranchi (ECR): 555 posts — Jharkhand-Bihar region।
Important: अपने घर के नज़दीकी zone choose करें — exam भी वहीं होगा और posting भी उसी zone में।
तैयारी की रणनीति — CBT-1 से CBAT तक
RRB ALP 2026 में CBT-1, CBT-2, और CBAT — तीनों की अलग-अलग रणनीति चाहिए।
CBT-1 की तैयारी (2026 में बड़ा बदलाव — GK नहीं है):
- Mathematics: NCERT Class 9–10 Maths। हर chapter पर daily 20–25 questions। Speed पर ध्यान दें — 75 questions, 60 मिनट = 48 seconds per question।
- Reasoning: R.S. Aggarwal की Verbal & Non-Verbal Reasoning। Series, Coding-Decoding, और Venn Diagrams पर focus।
- Basic Science & Engineering: ITI theory books + NCERT Class 9–10 Science। Engineering Drawing के लिए basic projections और views practice करें।
- GK और Current Affairs की तैयारी CBT-1 के लिए ज़रूरी नहीं — यह 2026 का सबसे बड़ा बदलाव है।
CBT-2 की तैयारी (यही merit decide करेगा — 50% weightage):
- CBT-1 से ज़्यादा difficulty होती है। Same subjects — higher level।
- Trade Subject (Part B): अपने ITI trade की theory और practical knowledge मज़बूत करें। 35% qualifying marks आसानी से मिल सकते हैं।
CBAT की तैयारी — 50% weightage, ignore मत करें:
- 2026 में CBAT का weightage 30% से बढ़कर 50% हो गया है। यह final merit का आधा हिस्सा है।
- Online CBAT mock tests daily practice करें। Indian Railways की official CBAT practice link देखें।
- Memory, concentration, और spatial visualization exercises daily करें।
- हर battery में T-score ≥42 लाना mandatory है — एक में भी fail हुए तो out।
Overall Timeline: Apply अभी करें (last date 14 June)। Exam 2–3 months बाद होगा। अभी से तैयारी शुरू करें।
