- โบStage 2: Computer Based Test (CBT) Stage 2 โ Subject-specific MCQs (90โ120 questions, 90 min)
- โบStage 3: Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) โ Only for ALP posts | 7 psychological test batteries | 42 min | qualifying (42 marks minimum)

Joining Process
- โบStep 1: Receive provisional offer letter from the respective Zonal Railway (e.g. Central Railway, Northern Railway)
- โบStep 2: Report for medical examination at the Railway Hospital for fitness category (A1, A2, A3, B1, B2)
- โบStep 3: Submit all original documents โ educational certificates, caste/category certificate, ID proof
- โบStep 4: Receive formal appointment order from Zonal Railway HR/Personnel Department
- โบStep 5: Attend Basic Training at Railway Training Institute / Zonal Railway Training School (30โ90 days depending on post)
- โบStep 6: On-the-job training at assigned loco shed, yard, station, or section
- โบStep 7: Regular posting after successful training completion and passing of departmental tests
