RRB Group D (CEN 08/2024) CBT Result & Cut-Off 2026 Declared - PET Shortlisting Across All Zones
The Railway Recruitment Board declared the CBT result and category-wise/zone-wise cut-off marks for RRB Group D (CEN 08/2024, 32,438 Level-1 vacancies) on 1 July 2026, after the exam - held across multiple shifts from 27 November 2025 to 10 February 2026 - was delayed by a Telangana High Court case (WP No. 7985/2026) over Act Apprentice (CCAA) weightage marks. The Court permitted RRBs to proceed with declaring results while reserving 15 vacancies pending final disposal; shortlisting for the next stage is explicitly marked provisional and subject to that final judgement. Candidates shortlisted at up to 3x the community-wise vacancies per RRB (excluding PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and CCAA candidates, who are exempt from the next stage) now proceed to the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), followed by Document Verification and Medical Examination. Normalised scorecards are live from 1 July 2026, 6:00 PM to 16 July 2026, 11:55 PM. Zone-wise shortlisted-candidate counts confirmed: RRB Bhopal 3,383, RRB Bhubaneswar 1,706, RRB Chennai 5,130, RRB Prayagraj 3,726; RRB Ahmedabad's result is confirmed released with cut-offs published, though the direct merit-list PDF was still being updated at time of check. Exact normalised cut-off marks are confirmed for RRB Bhubaneswar (UR 76.69, OBC 75.43, EWS 69.81, SC 67.15, ST 58.19); other zones' precise cut-off figures were published as images/PDFs on RRB sites and were not independently machine-readable for this summary.

RRB Group D CBT Result and Cut-Off Declared for CEN 08/2024 Across All Zones
About This Notification
RRB Group D (CEN 08/2024) โ CBT Result and category-wise/zone-wise Cut-Off marks were declared on 1 July 2026 for all 32,438 Level-1 vacancies. The CBT ran across multiple shifts from 27 November 2025 to 10 February 2026.
Why the delay: declaration was held up by a case before the Telangana High Court (WP No. 7985/2026) over how much weightage to give Course Completed Act Apprentice (CCAA) candidates' marks. The Court has now allowed RRBs to proceed, while keeping 15 vacancies reserved pending final disposal. Every zone's shortlist explicitly states it is provisional and subject to that final judgement.
| RRB Zone | Candidates Shortlisted for PET | Normalised Cut-Off Marks (UR / OBC / EWS / SC / ST) | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bhubaneswar | 1,706 | 76.69 / 75.43 / 69.81 / 67.15 / 58.19 | โ Result + exact cut-off confirmed |
| Bhopal | 3,383 | Published on official PDF โ not extracted here | โ Result confirmed, cut-off table not in reviewed pages |
| Chennai | 5,130 | Published on official PDF โ not extracted here | โ Result confirmed, cut-off table not in reviewed pages |
| Prayagraj | 3,726 | Published on official PDF โ not extracted here | โ Result confirmed, cut-off table not in reviewed pages |
| Ahmedabad | Not confirmed | Published as an image on RRB's site โ not machine-readable | โ Result released, merit-list PDF link still updating at time of check |
Note on missing cut-off figures: for Bhopal, Chennai, and Prayagraj, the shortlisted-candidate counts are confirmed directly from official PDFs, but the exact normalised cut-off numbers sit on later pages of very long documents (13โ18 pages of roll numbers each) that weren't fully captured in this pass. Bhubaneswar's cut-off came through completely because that PDF was shorter. To get exact marks for the other zones, the direct PDF links are provided below โ the cut-off table is always on the final page.
Shortlisting method (same across all zones): candidates equal to up to 3ร the community-wise vacancies per Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) โ excluding PwBD, Ex-Servicemen (ExSM), and CCAA candidates, who are exempt from PET โ have been shortlisted. Roll numbers are listed in ascending order, not merit order.
What's next: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) โ Document Verification โ Medical Examination โ Final Panel. All of these stages are run by the zonal RRC (not the RRB) โ e.g., RRC Jabalpur for Bhopal candidates, RRC Bhubaneswar (rrcbbs.org.in) for Bhubaneswar, RRC Chennai (rrcmas.in) for Chennai, RRC Prayagraj (rrcpryj.org) for Prayagraj.
Scorecard access: percentile score and normalised marks are available by logging in with Registration Number and Date of Birth (DDMMYYYY format), live from 1 July 2026, 6:00 PM to 16 July 2026, 11:55 PM only.
