📝 Exam rules
Checked with official notice- Time: 10 minutes
- Required speed: English 30 WPM · हिंदी 25 WPM
- Backspace / editing: NOT allowed
- Each mistake deducts 10 words from your total
- Net speed = (total words typed − mistakes × 10) ÷ 10 minutes. Example from RRB: 400 words, 10 mistakes → 30 WPM.
- Editing tools are not allowed for correcting mistakes — practise with Backspace off.
- A 1-minute warm-up is given before the 10-minute test.
The timer starts with your first key. Copy-paste is blocked. Rules change between recruitments — always check your notice.

How to prepare
- Learn the keys first: Remington Gail or Inscript drills for Hindi, typing practice for speed.
- Take this full 10-minute mock twice a week with Backspace off, as in the exam.
- Read the word-by-word result: most marks are lost on small spelling slips and skipped words, not slow speed.
- Aim 5 WPM above the target — speed drops in the exam hall.
