The best programs are written so that computing machines can perform them quickly and so that human beings can understand them clearly. A programmer is ideally an essayist who works with traditional aesthetic and literary forms as well as mathematical concepts.

How to practise Inscript typing
- Plain English keyboard is enough — no Hindi font or IME to install. The keys type Unicode (Mangal) Hindi.
- New to the layout? Start with Key Drill (one key at a time), then Practice (full paragraph, no timer).
- Switch to Test mode for a timed run and see your KPH, WPM and accuracy.
- Practise 15–20 minutes daily on a real keyboard; phone keyboards give wrong speeds.
What is Inscript?
Inscript is the Government of India standard keyboard for Indian languages and comes built into Windows, Android and macOS. Vowels are on the left hand and consonants on the right, so it is quick to learn from scratch. Many exams that allow Inscript also allow Remington — check which one your exam permits.
Tips for Inscript typists
- Matras are on the left half — type the consonant first, then its matra.
- Use the halant key (d) between consonants for half letters.
- Learn one keyboard row per day with Key Drill before moving to paragraphs.
