Why exam forms need a plain background
Most recruitment portals and passport-style photo rules ask for a plain white or light-coloured background behind your face. A photo taken at home against a wall, curtain or cupboard is a common reason for rejection at the form-scrutiny or document-verification stage. This tool uses an AI model to cut you out of the original photo and place you on a clean background of your choice.
How to use the background remover
- Upload a clear, front-facing photo with good light on your face.
- Wait a few seconds while the background is removed. The first run downloads the AI model (about 15 MB) once; after that it is faster.
- Choose a background: White, Sky Blue, Light Blue, Red or Gray. White is the safe choice for most forms.
- Adjust the crop to passport proportions (3.5 × 4.5) and, if required, add your name and date below the photo.
- Download, then use the photo resize tool to hit the exact KB and pixel size your form asks for.
Getting the best result
- Stand a little away from the wall so there is no shadow behind you.
- Avoid clothes the same colour as the background you plan to use.
- Loose hair edges may look slightly soft — this is normal and acceptable for exam photos.
