Increase or reduce photo & signature size in KB
Pick a preset for SSC, Railway, Banking, MP Patwari or Police — or type the width, height and the KB range from your notification. If your file is too small (for example a 13 KB signature when the form needs 20–50 KB), the tool increases it to the asked size; if it is too big, it compresses it below the maximum. The picture and the pixel size stay exactly as you set them.
How to resize photo and signature for government exam forms
Almost every online application — SSC, Railway (RRB), Banking (IBPS/SBI), State PSC, Police and Patwari recruitments — asks you to upload a recent photograph and a signature in a fixed pixel size and under a strict file-size limit in KB. If the file is even 1 KB too large, or the dimensions are wrong, the portal rejects the upload. This tool crops, resizes and compresses your images to the exact width, height and KB you need, directly in your browser.
- Choose Photo, Signature or Both at the top.
- Upload the image and pick a preset, or type the width, height and the KB range (min–max) from your notification.
- Drag the crop box, or tick Keep whole image to change only the file size.
- Optionally tick Add Name & Date for forms that need them printed below the photo.
- Press Make it ready: you see the old and new size and whether it is inside the range, then download.

Many forms set a minimum size too, such as a signature of 10–20 KB. If your scan is smaller, set the min KB and the tool raises the file to that size. The picture and its width × height stay exactly the same; only the file size changes. If the file is too big, it is compressed to stay under the maximum.

Tips to avoid photo rejection
- Use a recent photo, facing the camera, with a plain light background.
- Do not wear caps or dark glasses; spectacles are fine if there is no glare.
- Sign on plain white paper with a black or blue pen, then photograph it in good light.
- Keep the same photo for every stage — admit card and document verification staff compare it with you.

Is my photo safe?
Yes. Cropping, resizing and compression all run inside your browser. Your photo and signature are never uploaded to UdaanPath or any other server, and nothing is stored after you close the page.
