SSC photo and signature requirements
These are the sizes used across recent SSC notices (CGL, CHSL, MTS, GD Constable, Stenographer, Selection Post). In several recent forms SSC captures the photo live through the webcam or the mySSC app during the application, and only the signature is uploaded — follow the instructions on the form you are filling.

How to make SSC photo and signature
- Photo: recent, front-facing, plain background, no cap or dark glasses; the photo should not be older than 3 months.
- Signature: sign on white paper with a black pen, take a clear photo, and crop it here.
- Press “Make it ready” — the tool keeps the photo within 20–50 KB and the signature within 10–20 KB, increasing or reducing the size as needed.
- Download both as a ZIP or one by one.
Common SSC upload errors
- “File size should be between 10 KB and 20 KB” — your signature is too small or too big; set it here and download again.
- Signature in capital letters is not accepted.
- Blurred or dark photo — take it again in daylight.
